BUPA's Awesome F1 challenge

BUPA's Awesome F1 challenge

BUPA's Property & Development team join forces  with Successfactory for an Awesome F1 challenge

The recently merged property and development team from Bupa Care Homes recently came together for 2 days at  Successfactory to  unite as one high performing  team. They spent day 1 proving how good they are with a Formula 1 Challenge. Activities included a Pit Stop Challenge with an  incredible  full scale F1 car . The team had to work together using weather reports and track information to change tyres and re-fuel the car as quickly as possible. A 32 second pitstop was recorded as a new best  time . Giant scalextric was an opportunity for them to show off individual skill,  and help their team to get the best lap times . The team also beat away the cold with a Segway Slalom race. We saw some excellent pit relays , team support  and a variety of fantastic dismounts. Each team raced to get the final points by designing their own race track with bends, bridges and features which represented  their teams strengths and values. Tracks featured a variety of metaphors such as: keeping ahead of the competition, Claire's curves, the knowledge pool, Evans Elbow and a fast response team to help keep them on track.  The day enabled the team to get to know each others strengths and build strong relationships.  The conversations continued over dinner and well into the evening!

Day 2 involved building trust and understanding through behavioural analysis as the team shared their individual strengths. The team then got stuck into developing their "ways of working" and agreeing their team charter using  graphic facilitation. King Arthur was even called into action as a mentor and guide to help the team develop the key attributes of a high performance team.
